Vénissieux, 21 January 2020 – CENTRALP’s turnover for the year 2019 amounts to €27,516M, an increase of nearly 18% compared to 2018. A record year for this 100% French embedded electronics company with 160 employees, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2021.
“The 2019 results confirmed the growth trajectory implemented in previous years. In a tense economic and political context, this strong growth is the result of sustained commercial activity both in France and internationally, with the signing of a joint venture in China, as well as numerous material and human investments to support the production and delivery of our projects. “says Jean-Luc LOGEL, CEO of CENTRALP.
Growth driven by the railways
The year 2019 was also particularly dynamic on the technical front, with the creation of innovative and attractive solutions, particularly for CENTRALP’s flagship sector: RAILWAY: development of the range of consoles, technical innovations, etc. The rail division sees its business jump by almost 19% over 2019 in an ultra-competitive context.
On a commercial level, the setting up of a new Business Unit Services (Maintenance in operational conditions, obsolescence management, consulting, after-sales service) allows CENTRALP to enhance its know-how, its commitment to quality and reliability.
A joint venture to support international actions
For many years, CENTRALP has been looking to Asia, and in 2019, it will have achieved nearly 12% of its turnover in this region of the world. Also buoyed by a favourable economic context in the Asia-Pacific region and good prospects for key accounts in the field, CENTRALP has decided to officially enter the race by establishing itself directly on the market through a joint venture with its longstanding Chinese partner, Tech Import. This JV will support the commercial activity of this region by providing the service, know-how and experience of the French company.
On the strength of these results and an already well-filled order book for 2020, CENTRALP intends to continue its development thanks in particular to an active recruitment policy at all levels of the company.
